Safety is the core of who we are. Sun Diego Charter meets and exceeds all Department of Transportation (DOT) and Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) safety standards—because every passenger deserves peace of mind.

We maintain the highest FMCSA safety rating possible, and our drivers, vehicles, and facilities undergo frequent audits to ensure full compliance. For student transportation, Sun Diego Charter operates school bus–certified vehicles driven by school bus–certified drivers, all regulated and inspected through the California Highway Patrol (CHP).

When trips fall under California’s School Pupil Activity Bus (SPAB) regulations—such as field trips, athletic events, and enrichment travel—we provide SPAB-certified drivers and SPAB-approved vehicles that meet every CHP requirement.

In addition, we comply with TSA and Department of Homeland Security protocols to ensure preparedness for any scenario.

  • Ongoing annual safety courses and hands-on refreshers to maintain best-in-class readiness.
